Ilán Terrell is a photographer based in Los Angeles, USA
Los Angeles based photographer Ilán Terrell seeks to answer questions about the illusion we have come to know as "reality." With the help of his camera, he captures personal choices, frames of thought, and unanswered questions in pictorial form. Clarity is found when one can see where they have been, where they are, and most importantly, where they are going - all of which can be found in a picture. Ilán enjoys the works of Anthony Hernandez, William Boling and Julian Woodcock
Ilán tends to take around with him a Kodak Retina 1a, IIIC, and a Leica D-LUX 3. "I love rangefinder cameras! I use a Mamiya Super 23 and Yashica 124G for medium format photography and a Pentax K1000 SE for an SLR."
Ilán says about his photography that "for the most part I started taking photos because I like to live in the past and pictures allow me to do this."
