She says that she still makes photographs with her Hasselblad "I bought it second hand in 1986 (that sure dates me...) so that must make my camera 30 years old or so. I revel in my SONY cyber shot and am getting acquainted with my new CANON 5D (If you can't beat em....)"
Valerie says "I've been taking pictures since I was given my first camera when I was seven. I 'd say that the motivations for doing so have remained pretty much the same, that is, a travelog of my own life and composing an ongoing love letter.....I find it hard to make pictures when the love isn't flowing. Of course there are many paths to many forms of love. The creatures other than human are always a sure road to heart opening for me. My pictures are more illuminations of my heart than of my cerebrum." more
